The Fall Reset Your Body Is Craving

The Fall Equinox is right around the corner—that rare moment when day and night stand in perfect balance.  Nature is literally showing us how to pause, reset, and realign.  And honestly?  Most of us could use that reminder.

After the free-flow of summer—late nights, endless social plans, and way too many iced coffees, fall arrives with a different vibe.  It's slower, steadier, grounding.  Your body actually wants more routine this time of year, but our modern lives rarely shift with the season.  The result?  Feeling scattered, off-rhythm, or just craving more structure.

So instead of ignoring what your body is asking for, why not lean into it?  Here are three ways to hit reset this fall.

1.  Nourish With Seasonal Foods

Summer foods are all about lightness and cooling—berries, melons, cucumbers.  But as the air turns crisp, your body starts craving grounding, warming foods that build resilience for the colder months ahead.

Think:  roasted root veggies, squashes, slow-cooked meats, rich broths, and fermented foods.  These aren't just "cozy fall foods", they are ancestral staples that were designed to keep us alive and strong through the dark winter months to follow.

Try this simple recipe:

Roasted Roots with Tallow or Ghee

  • 3 carrots, 2 beets, 1 smal butternut squash (or any roots you have on hand)
  • 2 tbsp grass-fed tallow or ghee (melted gently on the stove or in a warm oven)
  • Sea salt + fresh rosemary or thyme

👉🏻 Toss the chopped veggies in the melted fat, sprinkle with salt + herbs, and roast at 400°F until tender or caramelized.  Serve with braised beef, lamb, or roasted chicken for a true ancestral-style meal.  Add a spoonful of sauerkraut on the side for an immune-boosting finish.  It's simple, grounding and exactly what your body is asking for this fall.

2.  Let Go of What Doesn't Serve

Fall is nature's season of release.  Just as the trees shed their leaves, we're invited to let go of what's weighing us down.

That might mean clearing our processed foods, ditching the late-night scrolling, or saying no to the constant busyness.  It might even mean a gentle emotional release, creating more space for calm, balance, and connection.

3.  Slow Down and Sync With the Light

The days are shorter, the nights are longer, and your body is begging for a shift.  But instead of fighting it, what if you worked with it?

A few small swaps make a huge difference:

  • Trade bright overhead bulbs for candlelight or softer lamps in the evening.
  • Slip on blue-blocking glasses after sunset to protect melatonin (hello, better sleep).
  • Make yourself a cup of warm tea and curl up with a book—a ritual your nervous system will thank you for.
  • And yes, give yourself permission to go to bed earlier.  It's not "lazy" — it's seasonal.

Bonus tip:  While the mornings are still manageable, spend a few minutes outside first thing (barefoot if you dare 😉).  That cool ground + morning light is circadian gold and helps anchor your rhythm for the day.

The Bigger Picture

The Fall Equinox is a beautiful reset point, but its only one part of the cycle.  Each season brings different needs: nourishment, rhythm, movement, and mindset shifts that keep your body in sync with nature.

The problem is, modern life doesn't adapt.  We live the same way all year and wonder why our energy, digestion, sleep, and hormones feel out of balance.

That's why I created the Customized Wellness Blueprint — a personalized seasonal roadmap built around you.

Your blueprint gives you two seasonal plans (fall/winter + spring/summer), a deep-dive consultation, and tailored support to help you reset your rhythms, fuel your body, and align with nature year-round.  From ancestral diet shifts and meal ideas to circadian light practices, grounding, hydration, and safe-tech strategies, it's a holistic approach to feeling steady, nourished, and energized in every season.

Your Fall Reset Starts Here...

The fall reset your body is craving isn't about willpower, crash diets, or restrictive routines.  It's about alignment.  It's about honouring what your biology already knows: that you thrive when you live with the seasons, not against them.

So here's my question for you:  What's one small shift you can make this week to honour the season?

And if you're ready for a plan designed just for you, with support every step of the way, your Customized Wellness Blueprint is waiting.
